Our Story

Woodard Drug Store is a family-owned pharmacy established in 1943 by Barney Paul Woodard.  It is nestled at the corner of E. Edwards and S. Center streets in downtown Princeton, NC.  Even as times have changed, Woodard Drug Store has remained true to its founding principles of customer service and community pride.

Following Barney Paul Woodard's retirement, his son Michael Woodard took over the family business. Then in October 2018, after working at Woodard Drug Store for 15 years, pharmacist Wanda Crocker purchased the pharmacy. It had been her life-long dream to own a community pharmacy. Wanda passed away in July of 2020. To keep her dream alive, Wanda's family will continue to operate Woodard Drug Store with the same dedication and care that Wanda did.

We are a member of Smith Drug Company which supports independent pharmacies.  This means we can service most prescriptions you may have. We get to know you and your family, so that we can offer the best products to fit your needs.

In addition to an exceptional pharmacy, Woodard Drug Store also stays true to its vintage roots. We have an old-fashioned soda fountain where we serve Hershey's ice cream, milk shakes, lemonade, orangeade, Coke floats, and your favorite sodas. It is a favorite gathering place in the community, and we love seeing people come together at our store!
